Executive Assistant

Salary: £28,000

YMCA North London is a Christian organisation and part of a federated network of over 100 YMCAs in England.  YMCA North London consists of two organisations:

North London (Hornsey) Housing Society Ltd – a registered housing provider regulated by the Homes and Communities Agency, and

North London (Hornsey) – a charity limited by guarantee, providing a range of community facilities including a fitness centre, childcare services, children’s sports and recreational activities and community events etc).

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Executive Assistant to provide a responsible and supportive service to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.  This position provides an opportunity for a person with the right blend of administration, organisation and interpersonal skills to join us at this extremely exciting time for the organisation.

 The Executive Assistant will join the Senior Management Team and together with the Chief Executive, they will be an ambassador for the organisation and will often be the first point of contact for visitors.  The Executive Assistant will be providing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative support to the CEO, Board of Trustees and Senior Management Team, communicating information to, and on behalf of the Trustee Board to service users, employees and other interested parties. The role also encompasses a requirement to provide HR admin support to the CEO and our outsourced HR consultants.

With experience of supporting a Chief Executive and Trustee Board in meeting an organisation’s aims and objectives, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the provision of a high-performance culture that emphasises empowerment, quality, productivity and standards.  A background in social housing and the third sector will be a distinct advantage, as will experience of working within a diverse organisation.

HR Manager

Salary: up to £32,000 – £35,000 pa

This job is responsible for supporting the Director of Community Services in providing a comprehensive human resources service that supports the organisation in meeting its strategic objectives and business plans, providing professional advice, guidance and support to front line and support service managers to ensure effective human resource practices throughout the organisation and support the strategic objective to develop skilled, motivated and engaged staff.  The incumbent will support transformational and organisational change through HR targeted initiatives, and assistance in managing the workforce to enable the provision of services to beneficiaries.

Experience in a senior role working in a similar setting is highly desirable. Candidates should be CIPD qualified and have significant experience of employee relations and employment law.
