The Harringay Club provides a range of sporting activities for both adult and children to improve their health and wellbeing. Our timetable has a large choice of gymnastics, dance, ballet, drama, yoga and martial art classes.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide a high quality and efficient front of house service for the Harringay Club. The post holder will also be expected to assist in the smooth efficient running of the Harringay Club, and deliver an excellent administration service to customers and staff, whilst promoting a tolerant and caring environment.

Head of Asset Management and Development

We are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Asset Management and Development to work closely with the CEO, Trustees and Senior Management Team to develop a long-term vision and strategy for the organisation’s new development and property services portfolio. This includes the achievement of strong cross-business collaboration and the development of key partnerships both internally and externally. Overseeing the property services function, the post holder will maintain and enhance the current property portfolio and ensure that regulatory and statutory compliance requirements are met at all times.

The Head of Asset Management and Development will play a lead role in the mobilisation and management of property development projects and service contracts as well as overall line management of the Property Services staffing team.

Applicants should possess significant experience of social housing development and/or community regeneration including the capital grant application process; Strong knowledge of building construction, property maintenance and improvements; Knowledge and understanding of building legislation and regulations including Health & Safety; knowledge of technical drawings, specifications, design briefs, surveys and building inspections; knowledge of procurement, contract administration and management including JCT agreements; knowledge of budgets, scheme appraisals and financial control.

Applicants should possess excellent project management skills, strong leadership and line management skills; financial and budgeting skills; as well as be qualified to degree level and hold an appropriate professional qualification in either building (CIOB) or Surveying (RCIS). A background in social housing and the third sector will be a distinct advantage, as will experience of working within a diverse organisation.

An opportunity has arisen for a talented Play worker to join our successful Out of Schools Team, who provide Breakfast Clubs, After School Clubs and holiday play schemes to children from various local primary schools. Our team work hard to provide high quality activities for our children, all of which operate within OFSTED guidance and we have a reputation for our strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children entrusted to our care.

Duties and responsibilities involve assisting in the planning, preparing for and carrying out a range of activities with children, both indoors and outside, collecting children from local schools (walking), setting out and packing away equipment and resources.

Experience of working with children aged 4 to 11 years is desirable, as is a recognised qualification in a child care related field.

The opportunity to continue on to permanent employment is highly likely for the right candidate.

Class and Events Coordinator

Job Purpose

The purpose of the role will be to assist the Manager and Coordinate the programme. This involves some coaching within the existing program, meeting gymnastics competition/festival deadlines, organising gymnastics and dance shows, staff rotas and delegating admin work to others where necessary.

A key part of this role will be communicating with staff and customers, liaising with the Manager to ensure all classes are fully staffed.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Executive Assistant to provide a responsible and supportive administrative service to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.  This position provides an opportunity for a person with the right blend of administration, organisation and interpersonal skills to join us at this extremely exciting time for the organisation.

The Executive Assistant will join the Senior Management Team and together with the Chief Executive, they will be an ambassador for the organisation and will often be the first point of contact for visitors.  The Executive Assistant will be providing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative support to the CEO, Board of Trustees and Senior Management Team, communicating information to, and on behalf of the Trustee Board to service users, employees and other interested parties.

With significant experience of supporting a Chief Executive and Trustee Board in meeting an organisations aims and objectives, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the provision of a high-performance culture that emphasises empowerment, quality, productivity and standards.  Candidates should possess excellent Microsoft Office skills, experience  of preparing Board papers and arranging Board meetings, minute-taking and preparing presentations. A background in social housing and the third sector will be a distinct advantage, as will experience of working within a diverse organisation.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Business Support Administrator to provide hands-on administrative support to the Community Services Team.

The postholder will often be the first point of contact for the YMCA’s partners and funders and the person to whom people will refer to in the absence of the Director of Community Services and the Community Services Managers.

Experience of drafting sensitive reports and correspondence, and employee engagement communications is essential as are strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and develop effective relationships with a wide range of people, both internally and externally.

The successful candidate will need to have a good standard of secondary level education, numerate and literate – Grade A* – C in English and Maths at GCSE Level or equivalent.  A degree level qualification in a relevant discipline would be an advantage.
