Contract: Permanent, [full-time]
Salary: up to £50,000 per annum
YMCA North London is an independent charitable organisation affiliated to the national and international YMCA movement.
We want to recruit a Regional Programmes Director to oversee and expand 4 key business areas: a fitness centre, the Harringay Club (an activity centre for children and young people), out of school childcare programmes and an annual adult 10k and Children’s Fun Runs and festival fundraising event.
In Nov 2015 we were delighted to have been awarded the prestigious honour of YMCA of the Year at the YMCA Youth Matters awards. In addition, one of our Programme team members was awarded Young Leader of the year.
The Regional Programmes Director plays a critical role in the organisation reporting directly to the CEO and through him to the Board of trustees. The role balances oversight of operational delivery of current programmes, and capacity building for the future growth, development and strategic direction of YMCA North London programmes and activities.
Drawing on new ideas and initiatives to enhance programme and activity performance, the postholder will be responsible for ensuring successful programmes delivery, outcomes and impact.
Duties include developing high quality and innovative services, establishing relationships with external agencies, leadership and staff management. Experience in a senior role working in a similar setting is highly desirable.
