Crouch End Fun Run & Festival 2016

YMCA North London’s annual Crouch End Fun Run & Festival is a day that combines sporting events with a festival of food and entertainment.

The programme for the day comprises 10 racing events – 1 Adult 10k and 9 Children’s 1 mile races. The day kicks off with the Adult 10k race, which starts at 09.30, with over a thousand adult runners, heading over the start line, out of Priory Park, up Park Avenue and following a two lap route up and around the bottom of Alexandra Palace, finishing back over the Start/Finish line in Priory Park.

Running alongside these sporting activities is the Festival itself.  This runs all day and has a wide variety of food, fun and music for all the family. The food is a combination of hot and cold foods of different tastes and flavours, provided by local traders, there are soft drinks and an alcohol selling bar, located in a marquee with tables and chairs to provide cover for all weather conditions. The Festival Bar is a recent feature, and is set up and run by Andy James, of Moors Bar, for whose generous sponsorship we are very grateful.

NEW for 2016 – This year our Music Stage will be hosting Live DJ act ‘Stick It On’, who will provide entertainment all day, enabling Festival goers to become DJ stars for the day! Described by Time Out Magazine “ Stick It On, a national phenomenon, as for 15 minutes ordinary folk get to play their favourite tunes to titanic reactions from a party loving crowd” – so don’t miss out, come along, don’t be shy and have some fun joining in with their musical action

Children will be fully entertained with everything from Fun Fair rides to face painting, something for all ages. No one should go hungry at the Festival as there will be food to accommodate all tastes and appetites. There will be retail stalls, as well as community and charity stalls from the local area. Anyone interested in setting up a stall at the Festival should contact the festival Organiser, Tracy Nash on 0208 340 6088 or by email on Tracy.Nash@ymcanorthlondon.org.uk

Back for 2016 are Festival Sponsors Greene & Co.’s team said ‘We are delighted to be back again as sponsors. This event is now firmly set in the local event calendar and the fact that it has grown from strength to strength over the last 23 years is a testament to its success. The YMCA does a tremendous amount of work for young people and we are delighted to be able to fully support the Festival. Greene & Co have supported a number of local charities over the years and are delighted to be involved in such a prestigious event’.
