Our aim is to raise funds to enable members of our community to thrive. Your support allows us to provide much needed services for some of society’s most vulnerable groups, especially young people, through our housing, childcare and health and wellbeing services. Firstly providing them with stability and support, then enabling them to achieve their goals of independence, health and wellbeing.

2019 YMCA North London Fun Run & Festival

The 2019 YMCA North London Fun Run & Festival was a great success, and we want 2020’s event to be even better, as it will be our 30th anniversary event. The aim will be for funds to be raised through race entries, as well as fundraising and donations. These funds will enable YMCA North London to continue to provide much needed services for some of our community’s most vulnerable groups. Funds raised will directly support concessions for local people to access our childcare, children’s recreational activities and health and wellbeing services,. YMCA North London also offers support to young people through our hostel accommodation.

The event raised a total of £23,000, thanks to the support of our entrants, friends, families, sponsors and members of the community. Our event is run on the day solely by volunteers, staff and members of our community. If you would like to volunteer or want any more information about the day itself, please contact  Francesca.Johnson@ymcanorthlondon.org.uk

In 2019 we were once again delighted to have the support of our sponsors and partners of long standing, Dunns, who provided 3,000 delicious doughnuts for all Fun Run entrants; London Heathside Athletics, who provided us with 30 volunteer marshals for our adult 10k race; Greene & Co, who have generously sponsored our festival for the last seven years, and did so so again. Their presence on the day of the event supports the community spirit that our Fun Run & Festival stands for. In 2019 we had a new sponsors, Marigold Health Foods and Mathnasium.

Marigold says: “Based in Haringey and employing 125 happy workers, Marigold Health Foods is delighted to sponsor this brilliant community event. We distribute our own brand of Bouillon, gravies, stock cubes and our increasingly popular Engevita Yeast Flakes to consumers across the UK and beyond. We have a vegetarian, GM free policy and many of our products are made using organic ingredients. We hope you savour every minute of this great day and have the time of your life!”.
