Help by creating your own festive fundraiser
Help us bring a bit of joy and comfort to homeless young people and families in need of help within our community. Here are some ideas you may want to use to do your own fundraising for our Christmas Appeal:
Run Santa, Run!
Put a smile on your neighbours’ faces and do your own Santa & Elves Run. Choose your route then collect your free Santa or Elf suit (4-10 years) from YMCA North London. Raise money to help make a young person’s Christmas by asking for sponsors on a Justgiving page and, with a ho ho ho, off you go! Email us to reserve your Santa and elves suits – but don’t delay, limited stock is available.
Create a Christmas Quiz
Get together with friends, family or work colleagues online. Download some questions here or make up your own. Either way, each person donates £5 on Justgiving to take part, and together you can make a difference.
Friends & Family Carol Singing
Gather a group for a video call and record your very own Christmas 2020 carol concert. To raise funds, ask your fellow singers to pay to take part or, if you think you’re ready to go pro, then share your carols on social media and ask friends and family to donate to your Justgiving page.
Create your own Santa’s Grotto and ask your family and friends to sponsor your Justgiving page – be sure to send us a photo!
Donate your Office or Work Party
We’re going to miss our Christmas parties this year, so why not hold an online party instead. You can donate to a Justgiving page to bring some Christmas magic to vulnerable young people in our community. Or swap your secret Santa cash for a gift for someone who really needs it? Let’s face, it there’s only so many office mugs a person needs!
Whatever you choose to do, we’d love to here from you. Please share your pictures or films of your fundraising with us on social media,#ymcachristmasappeal. We wish you lots of festive fun!
