Can you help a young, local person in need this Christmas?
As the coronavirus crisis continues, there are many in our community who are struggling emotionally and financially. These may be young children adjusting to new school situations, families trying to make ends meet or a young person needing a safe place to sleep, and whose future is unclear.
Here at YMCA North London we work to provide support to young people and families in need of help within our community. Our Christmas Appeal aims to raise funds to help bring a bit of joy and comfort in what has been an incredibly difficult year.
Help us give them the happy Christmas they deserve
Your donations could help provide:
£10 A Christmas gift for a local child in need
£15 Christmas day food and festivities for one of our homeless residents
£20 Home comforts to brighten up a resident’s room: soft furnishings, rugs or table lamps
£30 A Christmas basket including food and gifts for a local family in need
£50 Art materials for our residents’ on-going hostel art project, “Reclaim the Space”
£100 IT equipment for our residents to access online services they depend on: mental health support, training and education services
We thank all our kind donors who have already made a donation, your generosity and kind messages of encouragement are truly appreciated.
Special thanks are due to our Fun Run partner, Marigold Health Foods, who has generously funded the residents’ Christmas dinner and festivities, for all our 150+ residents. We are touched by such a warmhearted donation at this time.
A special mention is also due to The Maynard pub in Crouch End, who kindly thought of us when they had to close this week. All their wonderful food found a good home at our hostel for homeless young people. We wish you well.
